Why do we need to go back to the temple often? As I talked to many members of the church and they do not seems to understand why we need to go back to the temple often? Some may feel that they are learning the same thing over and over again and do not feel it is necessary. Today, I got inspiration from God that I should teach you what I learned from God. I want to share with you one of my dreams that probably give you a better idea why we have to do this.
I received this dream around the year 1985 to 1986, not sure of the exact date, because I did not write it down when I got it. We live in San Francisco that time, so we went to the Oakland temple may be once a month. In the dream, I went to the Oakland temple and I saw a guy with a white suit standing in front of the temple, he seems like a messenger or an angel. I asked him, when could I get my second endowment? He said, “Look at those people lining up in front of the temple, they got to get in first before you can get your second endowment.” Then I look, I saw a long line up to around 400 people or more, young and old, males and females, they wear summer clothing, colorful clothing, laughing, talking and enjoying themselves, standing in line up on the air and NOT on the ground. Then I can tell they are not human, they are spirits. They are waiting to get their endowments and who is the one doing it, must be ME. Who else? And that is the message, the answer is very clear, if I want to get my second endowment, I have to do the work for them. Until I finish their work, then I can receive my reward. If you understand what a second endowment is? I believe it is like a “calling and election made sure”. If you know that you have so many endowments to do, you should plan out your dates so you can accomplish these works. If you go to the temple only once a month, you can only do 12 ordinances for the dead in a year, and if you go once a week, you can do 52 ordinances a year. I guess everyone have a different numbers depends on their diligence and their faith. To do the temple works means you can receive exaltation from your work, certainly included that you keep the commandments. I remember President Kimball said “Lengthen your strife” means exactly that, besides keeping the commandments you need to do the work for the dead, being a Savior for the dead help us to sanctify ourselves to become exalted in the future. When we do the temple work, the spirit that we represent actually stands behind our back 7 feet above ground. One time I felt asleep for a one minute and I saw the spirit standing behind me above and watching the movie. She wears a white dress with long hair. I saw those spirits many times and they look different each time as I did the work for them. What I can say is whenever you did the work for them, it made a big difference in their life in beyond. They can walk into eternal life because of YOU. I can see spirits at the side of my eyes, and if the spirit was baptized, they are white color, and if they were not baptized they are darker color on top of regular color. I can tell by their colors whether they have their temple work done. At the celestial room, we can hear the glass clicking sounds from the chandeliers above. It is from the bleeze, and where is the bleeze come from in the Temple? They are the spirits rejoicing and talking at seven feet above ground. One time I went to the open house of the Sacramento Temple, and I sat at the celestial room, with the same type of chandeliers above and there is no clicking sound from it, there are no spirits up there since the temple was NOT in operation. What a BIG difference. After the renovation of the Oakland Temple the clicking sound no longer exist since they find a way to eliminate the clicking sounds. Temple work is the most important work of all next to missionary work. You see how many spirits were waiting for their work to be done from the time of Adam to the time that Joseph Smith restore the gospel. It should be more than the current population. If you can calculate the amounts versus the numbers of members going to the temple, it is never enough to finish it. Therefore God wants us to be diligence in this work. Be the Savior for the Dead and receive our calling and election made sure to obtain our exaltation after the work on your part has been fulfilled.
Promises as Temple Workers
Revelation chapter 7 reads John also sees in the sixth seal the Restoration of the gospel, the sealing of the 144,000, and the hosts of the exalted from all nations. Also same chapter, verses 14 17
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
